Terms of use

1. What OurSportSpot is

OurSportSpot is a platform, run by OurSportSpot in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, that connects players with independent clubs and studios. The club provides the court, field, class, coaching or tournament; when you book, your agreement for that session is with the club, and OurSportSpot takes the booking and payment on its behalf.

2. Your account

• You must be 18 or over, or use OurSportSpot with a parent's or guardian's permission and supervision.
• Give accurate details, keep your password to yourself and tell us at info@oursportspot.com if you think someone else has used your account.
• One account per person. Player accounts are for booking and playing; club accounts are for running a club.
• We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put other people at risk.

3. Bookings

• A booking is confirmed when OurSportSpot shows it as confirmed and, for card payments, once the payment succeeds. Unpaid card bookings are released after a few minutes.
• Prices are in UAE dirhams and include VAT where the club is VAT registered. The price you see before you book is the price you pay.
• Arrive on time, follow the club's rules and look after its facilities. The club may refuse entry to anyone who breaks its rules.

4. Payments and shared bookings

• Card payments are processed securely by Stripe. Where the club allows it, you may pay at the venue instead.
• When a booking is split, each player pays their own share. The person who made the booking remains responsible to the club for any shares that are not paid.
• If two people pay for the same spot at the same moment, the second payment is refunded automatically.

5. Cancellations, changes and refunds

• Each club sets how long before the start you can cancel or change a booking for free; it is shown before you book and on your booking.
• Card payments for cancellations made in time are refunded to the same card. Banks usually take 5 to 10 working days to show the refund.
• Once other players have paid to join your game, only the club can cancel or move it, so nobody loses their place or their money unexpectedly.
• If the club cancels, or a session or tournament is called off, card payments are refunded in full.

6. Open games, levels and communities

• Levels are set by players themselves. Play at a level that is safe for you and be fair to others.
• In communities and chats, be respectful: no harassment, hate, threats, spam, or illegal or explicit content. We may remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules.
• Results you record are private to you.

7. Health and safety

Sport carries a risk of injury. Only play if you are fit to, use suitable equipment and follow the club's safety rules. The club is responsible for its premises and staff. To the extent the law allows, OurSportSpot is not responsible for injury, loss or damage at a venue.

8. For clubs

• Clubs are responsible for the accuracy of their listings, prices, opening hours and facilities, for honouring confirmed bookings, and for handling the customer data they receive lawfully.
• Club plans are paid in advance for a month or a year and do not renew by themselves. If a plan lapses, players can still book, and the club falls back to the Starter plan's limits; nothing is deleted.
• Card payments to a club are paid out by OurSportSpot or, where the club has connected its own Stripe account, by Stripe, minus the card processing fee shown in the club's settings.

9. Our responsibility

We work to keep OurSportSpot available and accurate, but we provide it as it is and cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, our responsibility for any claim related to a booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under UAE consumer protection law.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post changes here, update the date below and, for significant changes, tell you before they take effect. Bookings already made keep the terms that applied when you made them.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, and the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction. Before going to court, please contact us at info@oursportspot.com so we can try to resolve the issue.
